Crafers Engineering are expert fault finders. The secret behind our success is aunique System Analysis Testing Unit that allows us to connect to a hot adhesive system to analyse its operations before quickly locating the problem or problems, including identifying any potential weaknesses that may put the system at risk in the future.

This fault finding technology, developed exclusively by Crafers, is soon to be released to manufacturers allowing you to do your own problem solving on site. There will be no more wondering ‘Is it the nozzle?’ ‘Is it the gun?’ or ‘Is it the applicator?’. Instead, you’ll know in an instant what the problem is, allowing you to act with confidence to resolve the issue.
This first of its kind, the System Analysis Testing Unit is capable of analysing the performance of both the heating and RTD control in the hot melt unit, hose and gun circuit.
- It interfaces with most brands of hot adhesive equipment by way of the hose, gun channel socket and allows monitoring of that channel.
- It can heat a hose or hose gun combination from ambient temperature to 180 degrees Celsius.
- During the test, the RTD and the heating circuit are accurately monitored and the data recorded by purpose written software.
- Accurate graphs are produced showing defects. Faults can be predicted up to three months prior to component failure.
- The software is sensitive enough to detect moisture in wash down systems or poor connections between hose and gun or the hose and unit.
- The system is also capable of monitoring and recording data while the hot adhesive equipment is online during production runs.
- It is capable of checking the accuracy of the temperature controllers of the hot adhesive unit. Faults of up to 30 degrees Celcius out of calibration have been found.
